Filming a movie based on a book can be hard deal. Director Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! realized while hunting for the perfect location to shoot a sequence for the film which is adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel, The 3 Mistakes of My Life.
Bhagat’s The 3 Mistakes of My Life is about three friends, Govind, Ishan and Omi, who want to pursue their dreams. Set against the backdrop of religious politics, the story underlines the three mistakes made by Govind.
“We wanted to match the location to the one described in Chetan’s book. After a long hunt, we came across the Hatkeshwar Mahadev temple, which is around two hours away from the city.

Upon reaching the location, Hariprasad reveals that the unit was thrilled to discover some interesting trivia about the place.

“The ancient temple is believed to be the first Shiva temple to have been established in the country. The pujari says the shivalingam in the sanctum is said to have appeared on its own, and the outer structure was built by Babhruvahan, son of Arjun from Mahabharata. While shooting in such a place, one couldn’t help but feel that film is blessed from the very start,” says Hariprasad.

The film’s production house, UTV Spot Boy, is keeping the lead actors of the film under wraps. However, according to a source, actor Sushant Singh Rajput is playing one of the friends in the film. “He is here shooting for the temple sequence,” reveals an insider from the production unit.
